Rain and thunderstorms continue on Thursday, while snow on Troodos’ peaks remains at 27cm.

The weather will continue rainy until Sunday, with dust in the atmosphere expected over the weekend.

Thursday starts off overcast with isolated showers, with thunderstorms and hailstones expected later in the day and snow or sleet in the mountains.

Winds will be a northern gentle to moderate breeze of 3 to 4 Beaufort, and later in the day a southwest to northwest moderate to fresh breeze of 4 to 5 Beaufort, over slight to moderate seas.

Temperatures will reach 18C inland, 20C along the coast and 9C in the highest mountains.

Thursday night will be cloudy, particularly in the west, with isolated showers.

Winds will be a southwest to northwest gentle to moderate breeze of 3 to 4 Beaufort, and along the coast a moderate to fresh breeze of 4 to 5 Beaufort, over slight to moderate seas.

Temperatures will drop to 8C inland, 12C along the coast and 3C in the highest mountains, where frost will form.

Clouds and rain continue on Friday and Saturday, while Sunday is expected to bring thunderstorms and snow or sleet on Troodos.

Temperatures on Saturday will slightly rise, only to drop again on Sunday and remain close to the seasonal average.
