28-year-old arrested for soliciting teenage girl

The police Cyber Crime Unit on Sunday arrested a 28-year-old Limassol man after he attempted to solicit a teenage girl and sending indecent messages via the internet.

The case started after the mother of a 14-year-old girl reported him to the police.

According to the report, the man using a specific account on social media tried to arrange a meeting with the girl.

Police obtained evidence against the man who was arrested on Sunday after an arrest warrant was issued against him.

A search of his home turned up a mobile phone that was confiscated for further examination.
