Police looking for two men who escaped arrest after attacking hospital staff

Two men who attacked police officers on duty at Larnaca hospital early on Thursday are wanted while a third was arrested.

According to police, the three men brought an injured person to the hospital shortly after midnight.

When they started fighting with nurses police officers stationed at the hospital for security reasons intervened.

One of them, a 34-year-old man who was allegedly drunk, attacked an officer and was arrested. He is expected to appear in Larnaca court later on Thursday morning.

The other two, aged 27, assaulted another two officers.

When the officers arrested them, they managed to escape and are now wanted.
