Arson attack destroys three luxury cars

Police were investigating an arson attack in Pareklishia on Saturday that caused extensive damage to three luxury vehicles belonging to a 66-year-old man and his family.

The fire started just after 3am on one of the cars that was parked outside the owner’s home. It spread to two other cars belonging to the 66-year-old’s family, as well as a wooden pergola, police said.

Firefighters put out the blaze while the scene was cordoned off by police. Investigators established that the fire had been set deliberately using flammable material.

The three cars and the pergola were extensively damage, police said.
