Larnaca police on Monday arrested a woman suspected of stealing a car in Limassol on Friday.

Officers who were investigating the theft of the car spotted a vehicle resembling the stolen car outside a house in the Larnaca district at around 8.50pm on Monday.

A little later, they saw a woman getting into the car which had no number plates.

The officers intervened before she could leave and checked the vehicle and the 31-year-old woman.

They found this was the car stolen in Limassol last week and the woman was driving it without insurance and without the owner’s consent.

She was arrested under a warrant.
