During 24 hours from Wednesday until Thursday morning police carried out 9,493 checks to enforce coronavirus decrees and booked 102 individuals, including four business owners, for violations.
In Nicosia, 1,440 checks were conducted, in Limassol 3,136, in Larnaca 1,109, in Paphos 1,365, in Famagusta 1,077 and in the Morphou area 725.
Traffic police checked 520 persons, the rapid response unit 11 and marine police 110.
By far the most individuals, 50, were booked in Limassol, followed by 18 in Larnaca and 14 in Famagusta.
10 were fined in Nicosia and another 10, including three owners of businesses, in Paphos.
