Interior Minister Nicos Nouris visited a migrant and refugee camp Samos on Tuesday, during his two-day visit in Greece.

The minister was accompanied by Asylum Seekers Reception General Secretary Manos Logothetis.

“We understand and supports our brothers in Samos because we also experience similar problems,” Nouris said after the visit.

He also reiterated the need for Greece and Cyprus to discuss ways to manage the migration crisis.

“What I have seen today requires the drawing up of an even clearer common line with Greece in order to be able to add the necessary provisions to the new common European immigration and asylum policy in order to implement an equal distribution of burdens,” the minister added.

Nouris is expected to return to Cyprus late on Tuesday.
