Kiosk damaged by fire

A kiosk in Dromolaxia and a car parked next to it were extensively damaged by a fire which broke out in the early hours of Monday morning.

According to police, the fire started shortly after 3am in the kiosk, made of wood and corrugated metal in the village near Larnaca airport.

The fire damaged the building and its contents and a vehicle before it was extinguished an hour later.

The scene was cordoned off and is being guarded while police, the fire service and the electromechanical service investigate the cause of the fire.
