Man taken to hospital after attack by gang of youths

A 37-year-old was taken to hospital late on Sunday night after he was attacked by a group of youths in central Paphos.

The police were alerted to the incident at 11pm after the man had returned to his village and reported the attack.

He was taken to the A&E department of Paphos general hospital, where a doctor confirmed he had bruising across much of his face.

Cyprus News Agency reported that police arrived at the scene of the attack but the youths were not found, while the victim is unable to identify any of those involved in the incident.
