Baker Tilly South East Europe announces four new partners

Baker Tilly South East Europe is delighted to announce the admission of four new partners, effective from January 2021.

Strengthening our team with the valuable addition of four new partners – each of whom are young professionals with the knowledge, specialisation, and passion to meet the growing client base demands across the region we operate – shows our commitment to continue to grow and provide high quality services to our clients, despite the economic crisis and the impact of the global pandemic.

The four new partners are: Andreas Pittakas – Assurance and Advisory Services, Moisis Aristidou – Assurance and Fund Services, Stela Ivancheva – Consulting and Business Advisory Services and Socrates Efstratiou – Finance Department.

Andreas Pittakas joined Baker Tilly in 2010, and is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (“ICAEW”). He holds audit practising certificates both in Cyprus and Romania and is president of the Cyprus-Bulgaria Business Association. Pittakas leads an audit and assurance group at the Nicosia office, having a diversified portfolio of companies and operating in a variety of countries, which includes clients of various sizes ranging from large, multinational groups, listed on International Stock Exchanges to small, single-owner companies.

Moisis Aristidou joined the Assurance Department of Baker Tilly in 2012, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). Aristidou is also a member of the IFRS Specialists Committee of Baker Tilly International, secretary of the AIF Committee of the Cyprus Investment Fund Association (CIFA) since 2013, and a member of the board of the Cyprus-UK Business Association since 2014.

Stela Ivancheva joined Baker Tilly in 2016, and is a fellow member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA), UK. She has over 20 years of progressive transaction advisory and financial audit experience with reputable international consulting organisations. Ivancheva has also been involved in a range of banking industry projects, including due diligence, valuation, AQR, NPL advisory, IFRS 9 implementation and forensic investigations.

Socrates Efstratiou completed his practical experience at Baker Tilly, after which he worked for seven years in other organisations. In 2017, he re-joined Baker Tilly and is a member of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (ACCA), as well as a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Cyprus (ICPAC). He has over of 16 years’ experience in financial services, and manages the finance department throughout the Baker Tilly South East Europe network.
