Limasol community of Episkopis donated €2,500 to One Dream One Wish association for children with cancer.
The money collected came from the profits of a Greek music concert organised by the Episkopi community council last September with Laiko singer Manolis Mitsias who performed his biggest hits at ancient theatre in Kourio. Tickets were priced at €10.
The cheque was delivered by community leader Lefkios Prodromou to the head of the association Giorgos Penintaex on Monday.
Both men are foundation members of the One Dream One Wish association and have been collaborating for 24 years to support minors with cancer and related diseases.
Penintaex is the president of the association and the general secretary of Karaiskakio Foundation. He is currently running for MP with Dipa.
One Dream One Wish is also supported by Greece-based Charity Idols, an association that collect sports memorabillia and items of stars and artists to auction them and gather money for charities.
The first two auctions of the Charity Idols on their website earned the foundation €335, while the auction of three T-shirts of famous footballers is pending.
