Teen arrested for grenade attack on barber’s

A 17 and a half-year-old male was remanded in custody for six days on Wednesday on suspicion of hurling a hand grenade into a barber shop earlier this month.

Police said they arrested the suspect on Tuesday.

He is suspected of hurling a grenade into a barber shop in Makedonitissa at around 4am on April 4.

The blast set a chair on fire, which was put out by one of the owners who had rushed to the scene.

Police were eventually led to the suspect who was arrested by the CID and remanded pending the investigation.
