The House for Volunteers was created with the aim to shelter and provide basic office equipment for volunteer organisations and NGOs, the volunteer commissioner’s office announced on Monday.

The building which is located in the industrial area of Kokkinotrimithia contains offices, computers, telephones and other equipment. It can host 30 organisations.

Public areas such as an event hall and meeting room are offered free of charge.

The event hall can accommodate up to 150 people, though due to the coronavirus currently only 75 are allowed.

The meeting room is equipped for holding presentations.

Interested parties are asked to submit an application and will be granted access to the building if they meet certain criteria such as not having premises of their own.

For application forms and information see the website of the office of the commissioner for Volunteerism and NGOs www.volunteercommissioner.gov.cy or call 22-400163
