Defence Minister to attend Yerevan commemorations

Defence Minister Charalambos Petrides travels to Armenia on Friday where he will represent President Nicos Anastasiades at events to be held in Yerevan on Saturday to commemorate victims of the Armenian Genocide.

In Yerevan Petrides will lay a wreath at the monument for the genocide victims and visit the city’s museum. He will also attend an exhibition dedicated to Armenian cultural heritage.

During his visit, the minister will hold meetings with President Armen Sarkissian, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian and Defence Minister Vagharshak Harutynyan.
