Man arrested for theft of luxury car

Police arrested a man in connection with the theft of a luxury car in Limassol early on Monday morning.

On Sunday, a 34-year-old man reported to police his car worth €75,000 was stolen from a parking place in Limassol

He said his wife’s wallet containing the car key had been stolen earlier in the day.

Following investigations police stopped a car driven by a 27-year-old man travelling with a 37-year-old co-driver at dawn on Monday.

Inside the vehicle they found the stolen car key.

Police officers located the luxury car in Limassol after the suspect told them where it was parked.

The 27-year-old who was arrested under a warrant tested positive for drugs.

Both he and his co-driver were also booked for violating the overnight curfew.
