Coronavirus: 101 booked for violations of protocols

Police booked 100 individuals and one business for breaches of Covid-19 measures from 6am on Monday until 6am on Tuesday while carrying out 7,667 checks.

A beauty salon in Paphos which was serving customers was fined €300.

1,543 checks were conducted in Nicosia, 886 in Limassol, 1,418 in Larnaca, 907 in Paphos, 1,124 in Famagusta and 896 in Morphou.

Traffic police contributed with 870 inspections and marine police with 23.

17 people were fined in Nicosia, 32 in Limassol, 13 in Larnaca, 16 in Paphos, and 14 in Famagusta.

Eight were booked by traffic police.
