The health ministry on Monday called on people to get rapid tests before returning to work after the Easter holidays.
The ministry reiterated that according to the latest measures, half of employees physically present in their workplaces need to get tested each week.
In businesses where the physical presence of employees does not exceed five people, the test is mandatory for everyone.
Exempt from rapid testing are people who have received both doses of a coronavirus vaccine with the second dose administered at least two weeks ago, and people who have had coronavirus during the past six months.
The health ministry is offering free rapid tests in all districts.
Through the increased tests, the aim is to detect positive cases in time and to isolate them, thus limiting the spread of the virus in the workplace and, consequently, in the family and social environment, the ministry said.
As people’s contacts increased on Easter Sunday, it added, and before people return after the Easter holidays to work on Tuesday people are urged to get tested before going back to work.
