Close to 36 per cent of the population has received at least one dose of a Covid vaccine while 11.2 per cent got both, the health ministry said on Saturday.

By Friday, Cyprus had administered 346,171 doses, or 43.3 per 100 people, the ministry said.

The number of people who got at least one dose was 263,263, or 35.6 per cent, while those who got both was 11.2 per cent, or 82,908.

On Saturday, people aged between 33 and 34 booked 9,771 appointments just an hour after the vaccination portal opened at 7.30am. The ministry made 12,595 slots available for that age group. The portal will remain open until 8pm.

On Sunday, 31 and 32-year-olds will be able to book appointments through the portal during the same hours.
