David Hare’s covid confessional play Beat the Devil, which premiered in Cyprus earlier this year, returns for another performance. Andreas Araouzos takes the British playwright’s monologue to Paphos this time for a single performance at Almyra Hotel on June 5.

Araouzos returns to acting in English for this autobiographical persona by Hare and presents this to an intimate number of spectators per performance. He co-directs with Nicos Mylonas, who operates cameras live during the performance, to convey the sensation ‘Screen is King’ that now, more than ever, runs our lives. Mylonas also designs the lights, while Lakis Genethlis is dressing set and costume.
