Coronavirus: Six people fined after 3,516 checks

Police fined six people from three different districts for failing to abide by the coronavirus protocols.

Two fines resulted after 546 checks in the capital, one in Paphos after 613 checks, and three in Famagusta after 526 checks.

Officers also patrolled Limassol, Larnaca, and Morphou without reporting any violations.

Some 562 checks were carried out in Limassol, 426 in Larnaca, and 355 in Morphou.

Traffic police and port and marine police also carried out 488 and 58 checks respectively without any bookings.

The 3,516 checks were carried out between 6am on Monday and 6am on Tuesday.
