Yoga and brunch in Kika’s Garden

The village of Kallepeia in Paphos used to see very few tourists but when retired dentist and painter Kika Mountis turned her home and charming garden into a brunch place, it quickly became a popular breakfast spot around the island. Pictures of her homemade jams, breads and eggs began circulating social media and these days, finding a table at Kika’s Garden needs planning. Now open for the summer season, something different is coming to Kika’s brunch place – a yoga workshop with a view and Kika’s famous breakfast.

Yoga teacher Vanessa Morton is organising the class on June 18. Held on Kika’s veranda overlooking the stunning Cypriot countryside, Vanessa will lead a hatha flow session from 9am to 10.15am for just a few participants. The practice will be suitable for all levels as the class will focus on bidding farewell to spring and saying hello to the summer. After the class, a short coffee break will follow in Kika’s garden before brunch is served at 10.45am where participants can taste Kika’s famous homemade breads and organic eggs.

“It is a taste bud sensation,” said Vanessa. “Join me for a morning of nourishing your mind, body, soul and belly.”
