Police find firearms, explosives in field

Police stopped the man as he was driving in Limassol

Police on Wednesday seized two firearms and a quantity of dynamite, found in a field in Deftera, in the outskirts of Nicosia.

Officers found the cache at around 2pm after a tip off. Police said they collected two rifles, two magazines, a number of rounds, 300 grammes of dynamite, and two detonators.

The case is being investigated by the CID.
