Free help available for animals affected by Cyprus’ fires

The Pancyprian veterinary association announced on Sunday that as a result of the extensive destruction of the fires on the island, free care would be offered for all animals affected by the blaze.

In an announcement, the association said an extraordinary session was called as events unfolded and it was decided that animals needing urgent care from the areas affected by the fire would be looked after without charge.

It concerns injuries sustained such as breathing problems or burns and help could be arranged after a phone call is first made with a vet, found from a list prepared by the association listing all cooperating veterinary clinics.

All expenses will be covered by the association.
