Diving into Elena Tsigaridou’s art

dive09.07.21 (5)

A new art exhibition has found a temporary home at Almyra Hotel as Elena Tsigaridou presents her latest artwork under the title Dive. The exhibition, open until August 9, is a tribute to life’s long-dives, as the artist says. It began as an internal need for play while eventually, the ‘dives’ shifted to a revolutionary act in the face of the limitations of the times.

According to the artist, the collection is biographical and directly related to female identity, and indicates her desire for communication and sharing.

Elena is currently an Art and Design Teacher at the American Academy Private School in Larnaca, Cyprus. Her work is characterised by a delicate observation that seeks to elicit the sensations, memories and wonder associated with experiences and encounters. Her paintings are exhibited in numerous private and corporate collections throughout Cyprus, Brussels and Italy, including the Frissiras Museum in Athens. For now, she dives into her solo work once more and presents her pieces in a large outdoor exhibition at Almyra Hotel.
