Shots fired at Zakaki house

ΕΚΡΗΞΗ ΣΕ ΕΣΤΙΑΤΟΡΙΟ ΣΤΗ ΛΕΥΚΩΣΙΑ

Police on Thursday said they are investigating after shots were fired against the house of a couple in Zakaki, Limassol.

The incident was reported to the police around 5.40am with officers rushing to the scene.

According to reports, the 31-year-old man and a 27-year-old woman who live in the house have been investigated in relation to illegal drug cases in the past.

Following preliminary examinations, police believe a shotgun and possibly a pistol or revolver were used to fire the shots.

No injuries were reported but the walls of the building were slightly damaged, police said.
