Thousands in cash stolen from Paphos flat

Paphos police on Saturday were investigating after a man reported that more than €8,000 in cash and other items were stolen from his apartment.

The man told police he left his house in Exo Vrysi at 10pm and when he returned early on Saturday, he saw his front door had been forced open.

According to his statement to the police, €5,800 in cash were stolen from his apartment, as well as electronic and other items worth €2,490.

Officers arrived at the scene and collected evidence with the aim to identify the suspects.
