A man aged 57 has been arrested on suspicion of stealing three cows from a farm in Anarita in Paphos.

The farmer reported the theft to police on Friday, saying that between 7am and 3.30pm that day, the three cows worth 1,500 euros had been stolen from his farm.

Investigations pointed to the 57-year-old who was arrested on Saturday. A check on his livestock identified the stolen animals, which were tagged, police said.

The suspected rustler was charged and released to appear in court at a later date.
