President on official visit to Bahrain, meeting with King to take place Monday

Anastasiades arrives to Bahrain

Cyprus’ President Nicos Anastasiades arrived Sunday afternoon in Bahrain’s capital Manama on an official visit, accompanied by members of the Cabinet.

An announcement issued by the Presidency says that on Monday the President will be received by King Hamad bin Isa Khalifa, at the Gudhaibiya Palace. The two heads of state will head expanded talks between delegations of the two countries.

Earlier, President Anastasiades will visit the Bahrain Economic Development Board.

Upon his arrival at Bahrain International Airport, the President was received by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani and the Minister of Youth and Sports Mr. Ayman Al-Moayed.

The President is accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikos Christodoulides, Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry Natasa Pilides, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment Costas Kades, Deputy Minister of Tourism Savvas Perdios, Government Spokesman and other officials.
