The installation of a second movable access ramp for the disabled at Ladies Mile beach has been completed, the British Bases said on Thursday.  The ramp is located to the east of “Oasis” restaurant and is expected to serve a significant number of less privileged bathers, who require assistance to access the waters, they added.

The construction and installation of the ramp was funded by the SBAA via the Lady’s Mile beach Fund Management Committee.

“We thank the Community of “Cherkes Chiftlik”, who has undertaken the annual maintenance of the ramp and our business partners, members of the Lady’s Mile beach Fund Management Committee, the District Officer of Limassol, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism and the communities of Asomatos and Cherkes Chiftlik for their valuable contribution and assistance towards the successful implementation of this project,” they added.
