Famagusta district police book 121 traffic violations in one day

Police said on Friday that a total of 121 traffic violations were reported in the Famagusta district during a targeted road safety campaign the previous day.

During the checks, members of the police booked 121 violations, of which 46 were for speeding and 22 were for driving without a seat belt.

Also, three motorcycles and one car were confiscated, for further examinations.

The campaign aimed at averting road accidents and combating noise pollution from cars and motorbikes.
