Two remands after knives, rocks, axe used in Ayia Napa brawl (updated)

Two men, aged 23, were remanded for seven days on Monday, following a brawl in Ayia Napa the previous day involving knives, rocks and an axe.

According to the police, several people were involved in a fight on Ayias Mavris avenue at around 3.30am on Sunday.

Police said that an axe, knives and rocks were used as weapons during the brawl.

As part of the investigations, police arrested a 23-year-old man who is currently treated at the Famagusta general hospital under police guard.

A second 23-year-old man who appears to have been involved in the fight was also arrested and detained at a police station.
