A 56-year-old man was arrested after 28 kilogrammes of shisha tobacco was found in his car on Wednesday in Nicosia police said.
The tobacco, 112 packs weighing 28 kg in total, was found in the man’s car near the Ayios Dhometios crossing, following a tip off.
Police said the arrest followed a coordinated operation after assessing information.
The 56-year-old was arrested while the tobacco was seized.
The customs department is now investigating the case.
