Two arrested drunk before start of football match

Limassol police have charged two people who were drunk and causing a nuisance just before the Aris-Apoel football match at the Tsirio stadium on Sunday.

The two, a 37-year-old man and a 36-year-old woman, are being investigated for offences related to violence in sports.

According to police, they were causing public nuisance upon their entry in the bleachers and refused to listen to the instructions of the stadium employees.

They were transferred to the police station where they were charged in writing for causing nuisance and insulting officers while drunk.

Police said the suspects will appear in court at a later date.
