Repairs to Piale Pasha promenade to begin next week

Repair works for the Piale Pasha promenade will begin next week, Larnaca municipality said on Wednesday.

A press release from the municipality said that the works will begin on November 2 and will last for about two weeks.

The works will aim to restore parts of the lower level of the promenade that became detached from the rest of the structure as a result of constant pressure from waves, which ripped them from their anchoring points.

Cracks in the walls will be repaired at a later stage.

The municipality said that the area will be fenced off during the works to protect the public, but access to the rest of the promenade will continue as normal.
