A 35-year-old man missing since last week has been found in the Akamas and is well, authorities said on Monday.

Marios Koyionis, who had been missing from his Marathounda home since last Wednesday, was found by a search party made up by civil defence personnel and relatives, a civil defence spokesperson said.

His car was found on Sunday several kilometres from where he was located. Authorities had found his phone signal on Friday, but it then disappeared.

Reports said Koyionis said he got lost.
