Movie screening among the plants

There have been plenty of alternative movie nights at unusual locations, with the latest a garden centre, where the audience will be surrounded by plants and greenery. Aimer La Vie will host a Jungle Movie Night experience on Saturday within the lush green venue of Solomou Garden Centre.

Aimer La Vie is a local brand that creates meaningful experiences and flowery crafts, led by Marianna Charalambous which since the summer has been collaborating with Cinebur, a movie-going platform that allows hosts to set up their own unique film screenings.

Starting at 7.30pm, the evening will feature a series of original short films from up-and-coming filmmakers. Along with popcorn, a cinema night trademark, there will be hot dogs, vegan meals, churros and even blue wine.

“The movie night begins with a relaxed networking function where you have the chance to meet the other guests and talk about your new ventures,” says Aimer La Vie. “You never know where discussions with strangers might lead. The one thing in common will be definitely your love for the movies!”

Then the film experience will begin at 8pm and last until 11pm. The Jungle Move Night, besides featuring alternative films, hopes to be a night of connection, something the organisers say is dearly missed during this Covid era. “We strongly believe in the power of people and the value of personal connections. So here you go, we invite you to come, meet new people, share your ventures and connect with guests over drinks and food. When you book your tickets, please let us know a little bit about yourself so we can help you network better!”

The €15 tickets can be booked on cinebur website. As with all of Aimer La Vie’s events and creations, with every ticket purchase, a tree is planted to help climate change and support the local environment. A movie experience, a cool mini networking session and a chance to enrich Cyprus’ tree life. Here’s to more thoughtful, fun events like this one!
