Woman, 33, arrested for possession of explosives and stolen property

Paphos police arrested a 33-year-old woman while a man, 26, is being sought in relation to a case of illegal possession of explosives and illegal property possession.

The woman was arrested after officers found five full hunting shotgun cartridges, eight 64mm cartridges and a magnifier following a search in her house, Paphos police spokesman Michalis Ioannou told the media early on Thursday.

Police also found a motorcycle that appears to have been stolen.

During police questioning, the woman claimed that the items belong to a 26-year-old man with whom she has been living with.

An arrest warrant was issued against the man, who remains wanted.
