Investigations into jewellery store theft

Paphos police are investigating after unknown culprits broke into a jewellery shop in the early morning hours on Tuesday.

The theft took place around 4.30am, when the alarm system of the Xylophagou-based store went off, a police spokesperson said.

Officers arrived at the scene and concluded that the thieves violated the front door which is made from aluminium using an electric tool.

They stole a number of gold jewellery and valuables of an unknown so far value.
