Planned upgrades to the Limassol General hospital are still in the evaluation stage, as "Valuable time is being lost due to appeals"

A Limassol kiosk employee was injured during an attempted robbery in the early morning hours of Tuesday.

According to police, a hooded man wearing a mask entered the kiosk about 20 minutes after midnight.

Holding a metal object he demanded the money from the cash register.

After the employee resisted, the suspect attacked him and started hitting him in various parts of his body. He also pulled out a knife which he did not use on the victim.

Then, the hooded man fled the scene without stealing anything.

The employee was transferred via ambulance to the district’s general hospital. There, he was diagnosed with a leg fracture after falling on the ground while trying to stop the culprit.
