Run, Santa, run

A fun running event returns to Paphos with a Christmasy twist! The Santa Fun Run will once more be held at Aphrodite Hills Resort on December 11, inviting running enthusiasts and others to join in, run for charity and have a grand time taking in the scenic landscapes.

“The 5km route offers beautiful scenery like nowhere else on the island,” say organisers Fun Run Cy and Aphrodite Hills. “A mix between uphill, downhill, golf greens and sea views, this route has it all. You can walk, jog or run it – it’s completely up to you!”

The event isn’t only for experienced runners, it’s created in a way that welcomes all – children, friends and sports lovers – given that they can manage the early start at 8.30am. To be part of the event, participants have to register and pay the €20 fee which includes a unique racer ID bracelet and a Santa outfit to wear during the run. Part of the proceeds will go to support the For the Love of Life Foundation, a charity created to provide assistance – economic and material – to alleviate poverty and the suffering of people, with an emphasis on quality of life.

December 11 aims to be fun day for all and the organisers hope it will spread the holiday spirit in a different way. “Bring your children, friends and family along,” they say, “for a 5km run/jog or a walk that will no doubt lift your Christmas spirit!”
