Two men, aged 18 and 33, were arrested in Paphos on suspicion of stealing two cars, police said on Monday.

The first arrest occurred on Saturday after police found a car parked in Paphos that had been reported stolen the previous day in Famagusta.

Officers carried out a body search on the 33-year-old man, who was near the car, and found the keys of the stolen car on him.

Following investigations, evidence emerged against the teenager, who was also arrested on Sunday, police said.

The two suspects are being investigated for the theft of a second vehicle between November 20 to 22 in the Famagusta district.

The car was found on November 24 abandoned in an open area in the district that was stolen, police said.
