Police arrested two men, aged 34 and 35, early on Monday in separate cases after finding illegal possessions on them.

At around midnight on Sunday police found a person sleeping in a car in an industrial area in the Larnaca district. Upon further inspection of the vehicle, police found a quantity of copper and a tool inside.

The 35-year-old driver, who did not give sufficient explanations for their possession, was arrested.

Meanwhile, a few hours later in Limassol, officers stopped a vehicle driven by a 34-year-old man for inspection at around 3.30am.

During the search of the vehicle, police found various tools and a pair of binoculars.

Police arrested the man, who was driving despite the fact his driving licence had been suspended.
