Paphos police are searching for burglars who stole €10-12,000 worth of jewellery from a Paphos jewellers early Wednesday morning.

Paphos police spokesman, Michalis Nikolaou, said the owner of the jewellery store notified police that at around 4.45am Wednesday morning the alarm of the store went off.

He said the suspects entered the store via the roof of a neighbouring building.

The jewellery store had an anti-theft system that emits smoke which prevented the burglars from stealing more items.
