The Paphos cultural venue Technopolis 20 is celebrating the Christmas spirit with a series of festive concerts and musical gatherings.

On Thursday and then again on January 3, pianists Galina Dimova and Nicola Georgiev will play some background live music, while guests enjoy their morning coffee and cake included in the €12 ticket. The first seating begins at 9.30am and the second at 11.30am with the musicians playing popular works from all eras and genres – classical, jazz, film music and of course some beloved Christmas tunes. At the same time, the venue’s concept store will be open featuring unique handmade creations made by local artists and designers.

Two days after Christmas, the concerts continue as Marianna Georgiou and Savvas Christodoulou perform festive music for flute and piano. Two concerts will take place on December 27 giving audiences the chance to choose between a morning performance at 10.30am or an afternoon performance at 5pm.

The programme will include well-known classical melodies such as Sicilienne and Pavane by Gabriel Faure, Ave Maria by Franz Schubert, La Donna è Mobile by Giuseppe Verdi, Gymnopédie by Erik Satie and more. Beloved popular Christmas tunes will also be part of the programme, along with a selection of film music pieces.

Then another Christmas-y morning music event is planned for Wednesday 29 with jazzy duets by Troodia Christodoulou with her calm and sweet voice and talented guitarist Iakovos Louca. The duet will present popular jazz classics like Let’s Fall in Love, When You Are Smiling, It’s Always You and Christmas melodies in jazz arrangements like I’ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm, Winter Wonderland, Sleigh Ride and many more. Two morning sessions will be offered again, at 9.30am and at 11.30am.

When the New Year rolls in, another Morning Christmas Jazz Duets performance will take place at Technopolis 20. On January 5, Olga Ksanthopoullou and Loukas Louka, members of The Greek Jazz Project band, will presented original Greek jazz tunes from the 40s, 50s, 60s and some modern Greek tunes with jazzy flavour, wrapping up the festive period at the cultural venue.
