Remand after cocaine found in motorcycle parts (updated)

One man was remanded in police custody on Friday after police found 265g of cocaine following a raid on the premises of a courier company in Larnaca.

Police had received a tip off about a package arriving from abroad possibly containing drugs.

After searching the company’s premises, authorities found a package with three motorcycle carburettors stuffed with cocaine.

During investigations evidence was given against a 29-year-old from Nicosia who was later arrested.

On Friday he was taken to Larnaca District court which remanded him for eight days.
