Ministry says Ukrainian refugees eligible for health care

ministry of health

The Ministry of Health said on Tuesday that authorities are providing the necessary healthcare treatment to Ukraine refugees with temporary protection status. Healthcare services are provided at the public medical centres (https://shso.org.cy).  Their needs for medicine are covered by the pharmacies of public hospitals, it added.

Ukraine refugees with temporary protection status are accepted at the public medical centres with either the confirmation of the Temporary Protection Decision issued by the Asylum Service, or the Residence Permit issued by the Civil Registry and Migration Department.

An estimated 15,000 Ukrainian refugees are understood to be in Cyprus.
