President Nicos Anastasiades is on an official visit to Montenegro where he will have talks on bilateral relations, the Cyprus issue, the situation in Ukraine and EU-Montenegro relations.
According to an official announcement, Anaatasiades, accompanied by his wife Andri Anastadiades, arrived late on Monday night in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro, and was welcomed by the Deputy Prime Minister of the country, Dritan Abazovic.
On Tuesday, he will be officially welcomed at the Presidential Residence by the President of Montenegro, Milo Đukanović, with whom he will have a tête-à-tête meeting. Afterwards, they will attend extended discussions, heading the two countries’ delegations.
Amongst other issues to be discussed during the discussions, are bilateral relations, the developments in the Cyprus problem and the ongoing Turkish provocations towards the Republic of Cyprus, the situation in Ukraine and EU-Montenegro relations, the announcement said.
Later on Tuesday, the President of Montenegro and the First Lady of Montenegro will host an official dinner in honour of the President of the Republic and his wife.
On Wednesday morning, Anastasiades will have a meeting with the Prime Minister of Montenegro, Zdravko Krivokapić.
Later, he will visit the Old Town of Kotor, while he will also be given a guided tour of the Maritime Museum and the marina of the city of Tivat.
