In today’s episode, traffic cameras appear to be stuck in the ‘pilot’ phase with 50,000 violations recorded since the start of the year but only 2,000 fines handed out. In other news, Defence Minister Charalambos Petrides said on Tuesday that Cyprus will not provide weapons to Ukraine as doing so would create gaps in the Republic’s deterrence capabilities; and five cases of suspicious matches out of a total of 12 investigated by a special branch of the police have been sent for prosecution.
