President Nicos Anastasiades on Wednesday met Montenegro’s Prime Minister Zdravko Krivokapić, in the framework of his state visit to the country, the first-ever by a Cypriot president.
A presidency statement said that during the meeting, they discussed developments in Ukraine, the current situation of the Cyprus problem and the continued Turkish provocations both on the island and Cyprus’ exclusive economic zone as well as relations between the EU and Montenegro and bilateral relations and ways to enhance them. Anastasiades accompanied by First Lady Andri Anastasiades and the Montenegro presidential couple will visit the old town of Kotor later on Wednesday where they will be welcomed by the Mayor and an event with traditional dancing will take place. The president’s official visit ends later in the day with a visit to the Maritime Museum and the town of Tivat.
