Burglar arrested after ten years of thefts

A 50-year-old man, who was wanted in connection with four investigated cases of burglary, theft and malicious damage, committed in Nicosia district between 2011-2022, was arrested Monday afternoon and taken into custody,

According to the police spokesperson the arrest was the result of a focused operation conducted by the Burglary Unit of the Nicosia investigative police in a targeted area where the police believed he was acting.

The spokesperson said that a pedestrian was found moving in the area and he was arrested based on the four court orders that had been issued for the four cases. The man allegedly confessed to two other burglaries and described the crimes.
